Medical history (history of the patient) represents an important component in the diagnosis of actinic keratosis (AK).

  • What is your occupation?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints)?

  • Have you noticed any changes in the skin?
  • Where exactly are the changes located?
  • Since when do these changes exist?
  • Did the changes develop over a long time or did they occur suddenly?
  • Are there multiple affected areas of the skin?
  • Are/were they frequently exposed to the sun?

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis

Self anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Operations
  • Allergies
  • Medication history (long-term immunosuppression?)
  • Environmental history

Environmental anamnesis

  • Damage to the skin by UV radiation (UVA, UVB; sun; solarium); recognized occupational disease (occupational disease list, BK list) in the presence of multiple actinic keratoses of the skin due to UV radiation.
  • Infrared radiation
  • X-ray radiation/ionizing radiation
  • Anthracene
  • Arsenic
  • Benzpyrene
  • Crude kerosene wax
  • Carbon black
  • Tar products (lignite tar/lignite workers) and other hydrocarbons.
