Active Organs

Potassium carbonicum acts on the whole body, but especially on the organs that are supposed to transport certain substances out. These are specifically the lungs, the upper respiratory tract and the intestines, but also the uterus and the genital organs of women during menstruation. Generalized effects, i.e. effects that apply to the entire body, are especially the alleviation of rapid, excessive sweating and feelings of cold or inexplicable freezing of individual or several limbs. Overall, potassium carbonicum – as is typical for most homeopathic medicines – has no main site of action in the body, but can cause changes in many organ systems.

Usual dosage

The dosage depends on the degree of the person’s appearance. If a quick effect is required, we recommend the hourly administration of 5 globules in D6 until the desired improvement is achieved. If this condition is to be maintained afterwards, one normally switches to a weekly administration of 5 globules of D30.

This dosage can also be selected if a long-term change is to be achieved over a longer period of time. However, these dosages are suggested guideline values. For an exact dosage appropriately trained personnel should always be consulted.

Cough

Potassium carbonicum is also used for coughs. The medicine can help especially with unproductive, dry cough without sputum. If mucus is produced, potassium carbonicum persons usually cough it up or clear their throat in the morning after waking up or getting up.

The expectorated mucus is then typically thick, lumpy and yellowish to greenish.Occasionally, admixtures of blood can be noticed, which then usually result from the constant irritation of the respiratory tract due to the strained cough. The administration of potassium carbonicum can also help with irritated mucous membranes, for example as a result of an unproductive cough. and homoeoepathy in asthma Potassium carbonicum is sometimes recommended to alleviate asthmatic complaints. Homeopathic treatment may be particularly suitable for seasonal, allergic asthma. However, if it is a chronic disease that persists throughout the year, homeopathy should not replace conventional medical treatment, but at most supplement it.
