Acute Renal Failure: Complications

The following are the major diseases or complications that may be contributed to by acute renal failure (ANV):

Respiratory system (J00-J99)

Blood, blood-forming organs – immune system (D50-D90)

  • Anemia (anemia)
  • Bleeding tendency (uremic) – bleeding time prolonged by uremia,

Endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disorders (E00-E90).

Cardiovascular system (I00-I99)

Infectious and parasitic diseases (A00-B99).

  • Nosocomial infections – hospital-acquired infections.
  • Sepsis (blood poisoning)

Mouth, esophagus (esophagus), stomach, and intestines (K00-K67; K90-K93).

Psyche – nervous system (F00-F99; G00-G99)

  • Impaired consciousness such as confusion or coma (cerebral edema/brain swelling).
  • Encephalopathy – pathological, unspecified brain change.

Symptoms and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings not elsewhere classified (R00-R99).

  • Dyspnea (shortness of breath)
  • Edema (water retention), peripheral.
  • Uremia (occurrence of urinary substances in the blood above normal values).

Further

  • Increased consumption of antioxidants.
  • Inhibition of lipolysis (fat breakdown).
  • Disruption of immunocompetence
