Carbohydrates are often said to make you fat. This statement cannot be valid in such a way, since one should distinguish between different carbohydrate-rich food. Wholemeal bread, noodles and rice in appropriate quantities do not make you fat.

However, you should be careful not to ingest your carbohydrates through chips, ice cream, sweets and pizza, as these are “bad” carbohydrates that slow down the breakdown of fat. Above all single and double sugars have a negative effect on fat loss. You should always make sure to eat more long-chain carbohydrates. Examples of this are plant and cereal products, meat and fiber.
