Aftercare | Surgery of a finger arthrosis

Aftercare

What happens with the finger after the operation? The operated finger is bandaged in the first days after the operation. In addition, in order to reduce pain, the operated finger in the area of the middle and end joint as well as the entire wrist is immobilized.

A few days after the operation, the immobilization usually applies only to the operated joint. If healing proceeds as planned, immobilization lasts about six weeks. However, this may vary from individual to individual and is usually prolonged with the occurrence of complications.
