Effects

Aluminum chloride is astringent: astringent and tanning and thus antihidrotic (antiperspirant).

Indications

Excessive perspiration, especially in the armpits, hands and feet.

Dosage

Aluminum chloride is applied to dry skin in the evening and washed off with soap and water in the morning. It can be used daily, at intervals of a few days or once a week as needed.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Children
  • Do not apply to damp and irritated skin.
  • Should not get in the eyes and on textiles.

Adverse effects

Intolerance manifested by local irritation. If local irritation occurs, it can be treated with a mild hydrocortisone cream.
