Anti-Aging: Therapy

An individual anti-aging therapy is based on the results of a holistic anti-aging diagnosis as well as general recommendations for anti-aging based on research results of anti-aging medicine. The following specific anti-aging measures are considered scientifically recognized.

  • Primary prevention of diseases including possible age-related diseases – e.g. atherosclerosis risks (arteriosclerosis, hardening of the arteries), neurodegenerative risks – disease prevention based on the identified, individual health risks.
  • Hormone replacement therapy in menopause, andropause, adrenopause and somatopause. Hormone replacement therapy should only be used if there is an indication, such as moderate to severe symptoms. In principle, hormone replacement therapy should only be used as long as necessary and as low doses as possible.
  • Secondary prevention of diseases including diseases of old age – cofactor analysis – determination of factors that have contributed causatively to the disease; treatment of these diseases on the basis of evidence-based medicine.

The following general anti-aging measures, which are essentially lifestyle, are considered to be generally accepted.

  • Nutritional counseling – calorie balanced vital and fiber-rich mixed diet, low in saturated fatty acids and rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids; multiple fruits and vegetables daily – including recommendations on stimulant consumption of alcohol and smoking to correct bad habits.
  • Individual vital substance supplementation based on a vital substance analysis for the primary and secondary prevention of diseases and for the general reduction of oxidative stress
  • Acid-base balance – in the context of general anti-aging measures* acid-base therapy plays a special role, because the kidney from the age of 40 increasingly loses the ability to regulate in the event of an emerging acidosis (tissue overacidification) by excretion of acid equivalents.
  • Intestinal rehabilitation and symbiosis guidance – by means of symbiosis guidance – also called microbiological therapy – the balance in the intestine is restored and a healthy intestinal environment is built.
  • Weight management – the goal is the age-appropriate normal weight – if necessary, weight reduction through calorie restriction, dinner cancelling (failure of the evening meal intake) and a medically supervised nutrition program.
  • Dinner Cancelling – skipping the evening meal – this causes: Decrease in glucose levels, night body temperature, reduction in mitosis rate (= lower cell division), increased repair of DNA (=inheritance information), increase in apoptosis (programmed cell death) – thus cell death of premalignant cells and thus increased cancer protection. Overall, dinner cancelling is said to probably slow down aging processes.
  • Smoking Cessation – Smoking is one of the major risk factors for aging.
  • Physical activity and sports – endurance and coordination training – helps maintain your vitality in old age.
  • Regular rest and sleep – serve to regenerate your entire body.
  • Stress management – active stress management strategies have a positive effect on your health.
  • Cognitive training – psychohygienic measures make you more resistant to personal and professional stress.
  • Psychohygiene – the path to happiness leads through consumerism and mindfulness.
  • Social contacts – the older you get, the more important it becomes to maintain social contacts.
  • Avoidance of environmental noxious substances
