Anuria and Oliguria: Diagnostic Tests

Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, and obligatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • Renal sonography (ultrasound examination of the kidneys) including the urinary tract.
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG; recording of the electrical activity of the heart muscle) – for basic diagnostics.
  • Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen (abdominal CT)/thorax/chest (thoracic CT) – for suspected tumor disease.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the abdomen (abdominal MRI) – if tumor disease is suspected.
  • Urography or X-ray blank abdomen.
  • Urethrocystoscopy (urethral and bladder endoscopy).
