Anusara Yoga

Anusara Yoga is a relatively new yoga style developed in the late 90s. It is mainly about opening the heart chakra. It is a mixture of Asanas from Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga and Iyenga Yoga.

The breath should flow and also the spiritual attitude plays a major role in Anusara Yoga. The yogi learns the principles of tantric philosophy and in the yoga class he should learn to face the world with gratitude and the belief in the good in every human being. Anusara Yoga is designed to strengthen the health and well-being of the yogi and help him to find his inner balance. In addition to the asanas, an Anusara class also consists of meditation exercises and mantras.

Yin yoga

Yin Yoga focuses less on the muscles (Yang Yoga) than on the bones, joints, ligaments and connective tissue. The so-called passive musculoskeletal system is strengthened through special static exercises, and a kind of fascial training can also be part of Yin Yoga. The individual positions are held for up to 7 minutes, which enables the yogi to deal with the position and his inner world of thoughts and to find himself. The body slowly relaxes and opens up, while the emotional and mental world has time to deal with emerging thoughts and maybe even enter a meditative state. Yin Yoga is usually done in the morning or before going to bed.
