Application on the neck | ThermaCare® Heat Patch

Application on the neck

ThermaCare® offers special neck warming pads for application on the neck. Due to their fit they are suitable for sticking to the neck and shoulders. These plasters can also provide relief for pain radiating into the arm.

Their principle of action is no different from that of the usual ThermaCare® heat patches. However, they contain a larger amount of iron powder, which is necessary for heat generation. This allows the effect to last for about twelve hours (instead of the eight hours that would otherwise be expected).

The plasters for the neck have smaller adhesive surfaces so that the skin in the neck, which is usually somewhat sensitive, is less irritated. Nevertheless, the normal ThermaCare heat patches can also be used for the neck. In any case, it is important not to lie on the patch and it is therefore best to stick to it the morning after getting up. If you are wearing high-necked clothing (for example a shirt or blouse) the patch can be worn underneath your clothes without attracting attention in everyday life. The ThermaCare® heat pads for the neck can also be used for wrist complaints due to their fit.

Application on the back

Probably the most common area of application for ThermaCare® thermal patches is the back. Especially the lower back in the lumbar spine (lumbar spine) area causes pain to many people. Incorrect strain, lack of exercise and tension are the most common causes of this.

Often a local application of heat can help to alleviate the symptoms. One of many possible remedies for this are ThermaCare® heat patches. These are stuck directly onto the area of the back from which the pain originates.

The patch should be placed in the middle of the back and not only on the left or right side. It is best to apply the patch in the morning or at noon and remove it again in the evening, as you should not lie on it. Some people experience relief from the heat, others don’t notice any difference, and some may even feel worse. Therefore, the user himself should check whether he benefits from the ThermaCare® heat patches with regard to back pain. If the pain is persistent and very severe and cannot be alleviated, it may also be advisable to consult the family doctor.
