Arginine aspartate is commercially available as granules, effervescent powder, and drinking solution (original: Dynamisan forte, Veractiv Energy + Magnesium). Dynamisan forte (originally Sandoz) has been approved as a drug in many countries since 1983.
Structure and properties
Arginine aspartate consists of the amino acids L-arginine and L-aspartic acid. However, it is not a dipeptide.
Effects
Both amino acids are natural substances that are used, among other things, to build muscle proteins. According to the drug label, arginine aspartate improves performance, general well-being, memory function, and retentiveness.
Indications for use
Medical indications:
- To restore physical and mental performance in states of exhaustion and weakness.
- As a concomitant medication in convalescence.
