Granufink® is not subject to prescription and can be purchased free of charge. However, it is pharmacy-only and therefore cannot be purchased in a drugstore, for example. The cost of the drug is not covered by statutory or private health insurance and must therefore be borne by the patient. The information relates to all Granufink® products, i.e. Granufink prosta®, Granufink prosta forte® and Granufink femina®.
Performance rating
In order to scientifically prove the benefit of a drug, large-scale studies are needed that meet certain scientific criteria in order to be generally valid. For Granufink® products and comparable preparations based on pumpkin and saw palmetto, there is not sufficient scientific evidence of a benefit for symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate or a hyperactive bladder. However, since there is no reason to fear any negative effects, there is no reason not to try to take the herbal product in the event of such complaints.
Those who subjectively feel a feeling of relief can take Granufink without hesitation. Irrespective of this, it is recommended that all men over the age of 45 should undergo regular prostate examinations, as in some cases serious complications can arise if a prostate disease is not detected and treated in time.
