Avoid triggers

Almost more important than short-term therapy is good headache prophylaxis. Therefore it is very important to identify and avoid the triggers. As mentioned above, the tension of the neck and back muscles is often a trigger for tension headaches.

This can be avoided by regular endurance sports and additionally by relaxation techniques. A sufficient fluid intake is important, as is a reduced consumption of coffee and alcohol. Enough sleep and ergonomic working conditions are other important factors.
