Baby too small | Stress during pregnancy

Baby too small

If the mother is under constant stress during pregnancy or is particularly burdened by traumatic events or fear of the future, this can have consequences for the development of the child. Because the mother’s body is constantly on high tension, the unborn child also experiences the stress. This leads to the fact that many structures that actually take a long time to mature much faster, which is then at the expense of cell division and growth of the unborn child. As a result, the unborn child may be very small and even if it is born as a baby, it may be even less developed than a child that has not experienced great stress during pregnancy.

Writing baby

Writing babies are babies who have constant and insatiable crying attacks. The babies usually cannot be calmed and are also generally affected by severe restlessness. A possible trigger for an infant to become a writing baby is stress during pregnancy.

The problems are usually noticed in the first 2-3 days after birth. Usually the symptoms, i.e. crying, subside after about three months. Since the cause of the development of writer’s babies is not quite clear and many people assume that colic is the reason for the insatiable crying, the symptom is often described as a three-month colic.

Abdominal pain

Abdominal pain during pregnancy is perceived as very threatening by many expectant mothers. They worry that something is wrong with the unborn child. In many cases, the worries are unfounded and the abdominal pain is harmless.

In many cases, the trigger is increased stress during pregnancy. As described above, this can lead to many symptoms, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Digestive problems, heartburn and stomach ache can occur, which are then generally perceived as stomach ache.

As a rule, the abdominal pain disappears by itself, at the latest when the pregnant woman is less stressed or distracted. If the affected person is still very worried, it is very helpful to talk to the midwife or gynecologist, as they can usually calm the pregnant woman down. The type of abdominal pain can be very different, some report throbbing, stabbing pain and others dull or cramping pain.

In the course of pregnancy, due to the growing circumference of the abdomen, abdominal pain can occur more and more frequently. Abdominal pain can therefore occur during pregnancy due to stress, but other causes can also be the reason for the pain. Especially if you are pregnant for the first time and are unsure about the symptoms, you should talk openly with your doctor about it.
