2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the history, physical examination and obligatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Small blood count
- Differential blood count [eosinophilia/indication of allergy, if applicable].
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein).
- Allergy testing such as:
- PRIST (paper radio-immuno sorbent test) – measurement of total IgE concentration in blood.
- RAST (radio-allergo-sorbent test) – measurement of the amount of IgE against specific allergens.
