Celebrex® may in rare cases constrict the bronchial tubes, causing breathing difficulties. Coughing also occurs as a side effect. In addition, Celebrex® therapy may cause an infection of the respiratory tract.

Sensitivity

Very rarely do Celebrex® patients have visual and taste disorders, light sensitivity and a reduction in hearing performance. Occasionally, tingling, sometimes painful sensations without stimulus are added. This is known as paraesthesia. Deafness can also occur.

Other side effects

Other common side effects are liver function impairment and dizziness. In very few cases do they occur when taking Celebrex®:

  • Strokes
  • Epilepsy
  • Hair loss
  • Skin pigmentation disorders
  • Meningitis
  • Vascular diseases
  • Menstrual disorders and
  • Renal failure
