Bursa Diseases (Bursopathies): Diagnostic Tests

Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, and obligatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • Radiographs of the affected joint – to exclude bony involvement.
  • Ultrasound diagnosis of the affected joint – to exclude joint effusion, capsular swelling, synovial villi (finger-shaped protrusions of the inner layer (membrana synovialis) of the joint capsule), and bursitis (bursitis)
