Camouflage

Camouflage is a special make-up for covering and balancing certain skin changes. The makeup is characterized by its high pigment content and high coverage, making it resistant to heat, water and perspiration.

The name of the special make-up comes from the French word “camouflage” and means “camouflage”.

Camouflage makeup contains two different types of wax: carnauba and candelilla.

Skin imperfections that can be covered with camouflage:

  • Eye circles
  • Spider veins
  • Ephelides (freckles)
  • Lentigines seniles (age spots)
  • Nevus flammeus (port-wine stain)
  • Scars
  • Rosacea (copper rose)
  • Pimples
  • Tattoos

Color selection of camouflage

Make-up First, the right shade should be selected.

Camouflage makeup is available in many different shades for different skin tones. Furthermore, there are so-called toners that are used as neutralization, for example, yellow, green, orange and white. Red skin changes, for example, are neutralized with a green toner, since red and green are opposite each other on the color wheel. Purple changes are neutralized with yellow, and bluish skin changes are neutralized with orange. One then applies the actual camouflage makeup over the toners.

Application of camouflage make-up

Beforehand, the face is cleaned and the usual day cream is applied. Then, the makeup is applied in thin layers with a makeup brush to the areas of skin to be covered. Subsequently, it should be fixed with powder. The camouflage make-up is durable for up to 36 hours.

Removal of camouflage make-up

Camouflage makeup is removed with a little cleansing cream or cleansing milk, preferably with the help of cotton pads.

Camouflage makeup is suitable for all skin types. For dry skin, care should be taken to include substances that moisturize the skin.
