Caraway: Effect and Side Effects

Caraway fruits as well as the essential oil extracted from them have proven antibacterial properties. In addition to acting against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and shigella, caraway also acts against the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, which is one of the main causes of ulcers of the stomach and duodenum.

Furthermore, caraway also has antispasmodic, digestive and anti-flatulent effects, which are also attributed to the essential oil.
