Cause
The causes of a cervical spine syndrome are manifold and should be clarified individually in each case: A cervical spine syndrome should be clarified in order to clarify serious diseases such as spinal stenosis, a herniated disc or possible tumors.
- Postural defects are often the cause of altered statics with associated complaints in the cervical spine.
- Joint blockages can also be the cause of a cervical spine syndrome. In connection with this, nerves can be irritated, which can then lead to radiating pain.
- Degenerative changes, i.e. wear and tear of the cervical spine, can also contribute to the classic symptoms of a cervical spine syndrome.
- Simple incorrect posture or jerky movements can lead to an acute cervical spine syndrome, which can result in acute painful movement restriction and severe muscle tension.
- Diseases such as arthritis or rheumatism can also lead to inflammatory changes in the joints and thus cause a cervical spine syndrome.
