- Small blood count
- Differential blood count
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Serological tests – if bacterial, viral or parasitic diseases are suspected (see under lymph node enlargement (lymphadenopathy)/laboratory diagnostics).
- Thyroid parameters – TSH
