Cervical Spine Syndrome: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of cervical spine syndrome (cervical spine syndrome).

Family history

  • What is your profession?
  • Is there any evidence of psychosocial stress or strain due to your family situation?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed?
  • How long have these changes been present?
  • When do these complaints occur?
  • Do you have pain in the neck area? In the shoulders? Headache?
  • What is the character of the pain? Burning, dull, etc.?
  • Does the pain radiate? If so, where?
  • Have you noticed any tingling or sensation of discomfort in the area of the arms and/or hands?* .
  • Have you noticed any signs of paralysis?*
  • Do you suffer from ringing in the ears?
  • Have you noticed any visual disturbances?
  • Have you noticed any deterioration in general condition* ?
  • Have you had any disturbances of consciousness* ?
  • How have you treated the symptoms so far?
