- General physical examination – including blood pressure, pulse, body weight, height; furthermore:
- Inspection (viewing) of the foot [clavi?]
- of the further examination of:
- Periphyton pulse status (palpation of the foot pulses of the tibial artery and dorsalis pedis artery, bilaterally).
- Skin temperature, skin tugor, and perspiration [dry skin?]
- Gait
- Shoes and insoles (tactile control) [tight shoes?, high heels?]
- Orthopedic examination – if necessary, including pedography (electronic measurement of the feet, which serves both static and dynamic pressure distribution under the soles).
