Chlamydia: Diagnostic Tests

Chlamydial infection is diagnosed on the basis of history, physical examination findings, and laboratory diagnostics.

Rarely, the following diagnostic methods are performed:

  • Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasonography of abdominal organs) [for chronic and atypical courses/ascending infections].
