Ordinary cleaning agents cannot be effective against a certain pathogen, the fungus (Candida albicans) which is often found inside the oral cavity.
For this reason, a regular application of so-called chlorhexidine rinsing solutions should be carried out in the course of cleaning dentures. These are able to eliminate the dangerous Candida fungus and round off the cleaning of a dental prosthesis for this reason.
