Choice of the ophthalmologist

Many people shy away from going to the eye doctor almost as much as they do to the dentist because they don’t know what to expect there and they are afraid of the follow-up costs of new glasses or similar. It is therefore important to consider whether there is a basis of trust or whether you feel rather uncomfortable when choosing a doctor. If the waiting room is also unlovingly designed and the staff is always unfriendly or overstrained, these are signs that it is better to look for another ophthalmologist.

However, the qualification of the doctor and the possible diagnosis and treatment options in the practice are of primary importance when choosing an ophthalmologist. Especially in case of special diseases of the eye or special circumstances of the disease, sometimes only a few special clinics come into question.
