The following are the major diseases or complications that may be contributed to by chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS; systemic exertion intolerance disorder (SEID)):

Factors affecting health status and leading to health care utilization (Z00-Z99).

Psyche – nervous system (F00-F99; G00-G99).

  • Depression
  • Insomnia (sleep disorders)

Symptoms and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings not elsewhere classified (R00-R99).

  • Chronic pain
  • CWP (chronic pain in multiple body regions, chronic widespread pain) (in adults – but also in adolescents (about 15%)).
  • Suicidality (suicide risk).
