Circulatory disorder in the ear

Sometimes there are also circulatory problems in the ear. Although the cause of sudden onset of sudden deafness and tinnitus has not yet been clarified, there is probably a connection between sudden deafness or tinnitus and circulatory problems in the inner ear. If circulatory disorders manifest themselves in the ear, for example in the form of sudden deafness, ginkgo is also used to promote circulation and at the same time reduce existing ear noises.

The same applies to sodium pangamate. Pentoxifylline, which is also used for the legs and improves blood flow properties, can also be used for the ear, as it improves hearing ability after a sudden hearing loss. In most cases, cortisone infusion or tablet therapy is the standard treatment for sudden deafness, as cortisone has a protective effect on the vessels in the ear (otoprotective).

However, the exact mechanism is not yet known. Natural remedies are also used on the ear to improve blood circulation. Especially the preparations ginkgo and ginseng are used here.
