Coitus interruptus

Coitus interruptus is the interruption of sexual intercourse shortly before ejaculation. The man therefore withdraws his penis from the woman’s vagina shortly before orgasm and ejaculation. This is to prevent semen from entering the vagina and fertilization of the egg.

Coitus interruptus is a very unsafe method with a Pearl index of about 35. On the one hand, the man cannot succeed in pulling his penis out of the woman’s vagina in time, and on the other hand, sperm are already entering the vagina before ejaculation. It is also psychologically very stressful for both partners, especially for the man, because he has to stop having sexual intercourse at the greatest moment of his sexual desire.
