Complications | Hip Fever

Complications

The hip cold usually heals within a few days to weeks without any consequences and also in the long run no persistent complaints or hip changes could be shown so far. However, 5 – 20 % of the affected children suffer from hip rhinitis one more time in their lives.

Duration of hip rhinitis

A hip cold usually does not require any special therapy and subsides of its own accord after a few days without leaving any permanent damage. After a few days of bed rest, the painful hip should be relieved for a few more days. Crutches can be used for this.

If these measures are followed, the hip cold is usually over after about ten to 14 days. Damage does not remain and normally children only get hip rhinitis once in their life. Since the general condition of the child is not affected by hip fever, the children are quickly back on their feet after the symptoms have subsided.
