Composition | Phlogenzym – The food supplement

Composition

Phlogenzym aktiv is a combination of several enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants (radical scavengers). Both enzymes and vitamins are components that the immune system needs for optimal functioning. Among the enzymes contained are bromelain, papain, trypsin and chymotrypsin.

Bromelain is extracted from pineapple plants and has anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant and draining properties. Bromelain is also available as a single preparation in pharmacies. Papain is found in papayas and has a similar effect to bromelain.

Trypsin and chymotrypsin are enzymes of the digestive tract. Since the digestive tract plays an important role for the whole body and through this the enzymes and vitamins are absorbed, it is sensible to include these enzymes in the combination preparation as well. All enzymes that occur in Phlogenzym are present in a form that is optimally absorbed and utilized by the body so that the effect is fast.

Antioxidants, i.e. radical scavengers, are responsible in the body for quickly rendering harmless the harmful substances that can be produced during some processes in the body, protecting the cells of the body and optimally maintaining the balance in the body. For this purpose quercetin, polyphenols from grape seeds and beta-glucans are contained in the combination preparation. But also some vitamins fulfill this task.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin E (tocopherol) are also radical scavengers. Vitamin C is also involved in the formation of cartilage. Vitamin D (calcium) is indispensable for bone formation, for its stability and for muscle work. The preparation Phlogenzym mono consists only of bromelain and is therefore not as effective as the combination preparation.

Fields of application of Phlogenzym

The Phlogenzyme is used especially when there is an acute inflammation in the body that needs to be fought. The immune system is responsible for this. However, if the immune system is weakened or if it is not fully functional due to other life circumstances, it can be supported by taking the Phlogenzyme.

This is often useful when the body is permanently in a stressful situation or when the body is in a situation where the immune system is not working at its best. This can be the case with overweight, but also with regular smoking, diabetes mellitus, periodontosis (gum problems) and with permanent stress. Since an inflammation in the body is often associated with pain, taking the Phlogenzyme also has a pain-relieving effect. Here, the Phlogenzyme acts at the site of the origin of the pain, i.e. the site of inflammation.

Due to the increased work of the immune system, the inflammation is actively fought and alleviated, so that as the inflammation recedes, the pain decreases in the course of time. This is the difference to the intake of painkillers. The difference is that the development of the pain is not fought, but only the transmission of the pain to the brain is suppressed and the pain signal does not reach the brain.

Painkillers therefore only relieve the symptoms but do not fight the cause, whereas the phlogenzyme fights the cause of the pain, i.e. the inflammation, via the immune system. The Phlogenzym is used for inflammations of the joints. Pain can be relieved both in acute inflammation and in chronic inflammation, such as inflammatory rheumatism.

Phlogenzym can be effective in inflammations of the internal organs and in inflammations of the paranasal sinuses. The Phlogenzym can also be effectively used in the therapy of acute inflammatory and swelling conditions, such as after operations or after sports injuries. Due to its anticoagulant effect, another field of application of the Phlogenzyme is the treatment of thrombosis in superficial veins, i.e. a blood clot.

In this case, however, the Phlogenzyme should only be used as an additional therapy as thrombosis requires quick treatment by a physician. Water retention in the body (edema) can also be reduced by taking Phlogenzym. Phlogenzym should be taken between meals or at least half an hour before a meal. Two film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole three times a day.
