Contraindications
Beta-blockers such as Beloc zok® must not be taken in cases of severe heart failure (stage NYHA IV heart failure) and certain forms of cardiac arrhythmia (2nd or 3rd degree AV block). Other contraindications for taking Beloc zok ® are a too slow heartbeat (less than 50 beats per minute at rest) and too low blood pressure (hypotension). Even in case of known intolerance (allergy) Beloc zok ® must not be taken.
Beloc zok® does not only affect the ß1-receptors, but – to a lesser extent – also the ß2-receptors. This can – especially in certain bronchial diseases – lead to provocation of an asthma attack and is therefore contraindicated in patients with known bronchial asthma.
