Costs | Tightening of the skin on the thigh

Costs

Which costs must be raised for a thigh lift, cannot be set up overall. Roughly speaking, however, it can be assumed that a price between 3,000 and 6,000 euros must be expected. The price fluctuations are due to the fact that the costs incurred are determined by the doctor himself and are clearly dependent on the country in which the doctor performs the procedure (abroad, some thigh lifts are performed for less than 2,000 euros, but the flight and accommodation must be paid for by the patient).

On the other hand, the final price also depends significantly on the type and technique of the surgical procedure (e.g. with or without liposuction, with laser, etc. ), the extent (= thigh area to be tightened) and the duration of the operation as well as the length of the hospital stay. Depending on the extent, thigh lifts are large and stressful operations that are associated with the usual surgical risks.

In physically healthy patients who do not smoke, a complication-free course of the operation and healing of the wound without consequences can be expected. Smokers in particular, however, have an increased risk of wound healing disorders and infections, as the skin and fatty tissue and thus the wound surface is poorly supplied with blood and thus less well cared for than non-smokers. The risk of operation- or anaesthesia-related complications, especially in the lungs, is also many times higher in smokers, so that a nicotine withdrawal (renunciation of nicotine) weeks before the operation is recommended until the wound has completely healed.

Patients should be aware in advance that even a technically well performed thigh lift will never achieve a perfect cosmetic result. Scars will always remain, and often not too tight spots can still be expected. A serious plastic surgery department therefore shows the patient photos of comparable operated patients to inform about the possible result and to dispel false hopes.

A thigh lift or dermolipectomy of the thigh is a purely cosmetic and medically unnecessary operation for the optical beautification of the thigh. Excess skin and fatty tissue is removed to reduce the circumference of the thigh and tighten the skin. Many patients suffer greatly from their appearance after major weight fluctuations, major weight loss or if they are overweight.

The cosmetic effect of sports and diets is often not perceived as sufficient, so a thigh lift can provide relief. However, a thigh lift can lead to complications, some of which are serious, and should be well considered. In addition, health insurance companies rarely cover the costs of this procedure.
