Crown smells bad

It is not uncommon for affected people to complain that they notice an unpleasant odor on a crown. In many cases, a pocket has formed on the surrounding gums of this crowned tooth, in which tooth remains get caught and bacteria multiply, which metabolise these remains. If these food remains are not removed, a very unpleasant odor can develop as soon as you chew with the tooth, as it presses into the pocket, whereupon the decay odor escapes from the pocket. Therapeutically, the pocket should be cleaned and rinsed with chlorhexidine digluconate, and a cortisone-based ointment can be applied to the gum pocket to reduce the inflammation. The condition should improve significantly after a few days.

Is it possible to have an MRI with a crown?

MRI can impair the function of magnetizable and electronic objects. In the dental field, however, the MRI has no influence on fixed crowns. It does not matter whether the crown is made of non-precious metal or zirconium. Also metallic fillings like amalgam or larger bridge constructions are completely harmless.
