For example, a lullaby that is always the same can make it easier for the child to fall asleep. If possible, do not overtax your child. If he turns his head away while you are trying to show him something, he is probably already tired and overstrained and can be easily brought to rest by then.

Many parents also report that it is helpful to carry the child around for a while or to lie down quietly next to the child in order to have a positive influence on him or her by resting. Physical closeness very often calms the child. Affected parents should remain calm and relaxed as much as possible.Stress and nervousness often worry the child additionally, which can set off a vicious circle.
