  • Bursitis (bursitis).
  • Capsulitis (capsulitis)
  • Tendinitis (tendonitis)

According to the affected region, “Other enthesopathies” are classified as follows:

  • Epicondylitis ulnaris humeri (M77.0; golfer’s elbow).
  • Epicondylitis radialis humeri (M77.1; tennis elbow)
  • Periarthritis in the region of the wrist (M77.2)
  • Calcaneal spur (M77.3) – this is a bony outgrowth in the area of the Achilles tendon
  • Metatarsalgia (M77.4; metatarsal pain).
  • Other enthesopathy of the foot (M77.5)
  • Other enthesopathy, not elsewhere classified (M77.8)
  • Enthesopathy, unspecified (M77.9) – includes, but is not limited to, capsulitis, bone spur, tendinitis (tendonitis), or periarthritis without further specification

Course and prognosis: therapy depends on the localization and severity of enthesopathy. If the disease remains untreated, there may be a substantial loss of function of the affected limb.
