Do what? | Abdominal pain from (too much) cola

Do what?

In general, it is advisable to start by taking a close look at your own consumer behaviour and well-being and asking yourself a few questions. First of all, one should clarify whether the abdominal pain has only existed since the consumption of cola or was already there before. Furthermore, it is interesting to know whether the pain gets worse when consuming special foods, including cola.

If this is the case, you should stop consuming these foods and, apart from that, consult a doctor anyway if you have complaints. If you have a reflux disease, for example, it is urgently advisable to avoid foods and beverages that aggravate heartburn. This also includes caffeinated drinks such as cola.

The disease is then usually further treated with medication with so-called proton pump inhibitors, which limit the acid production. In general, however, it is advisable to limit your cola consumption to a healthy level. It is difficult to draw a line here, but the main drinking quantity should be provided by water and unsweetened tea.
