Dry Skin (Xeroderma): Examination

A comprehensive clinical examination is the basis for selecting further diagnostic steps:

  • General physical examination – including blood pressure, pulse, body weight, height; further:
    • Inspection (viewing) of the entire skin!
      • Skin [skin florescences (skin lesions):
        • Partly scaly, partly excoriated erythema (“excoriated skin redness”) on dry skin.
        • Rough skin
        • Flour-line-like scratch marks]
  • Health check

Square brackets [ ] indicate possible pathological (pathological) physical findings.
