The duration of adrenal hyperactivity is highly dependent on the cause. In any case, patience is necessary until everything has settled down. The prognosis of adrenal hyperfunction is generally relatively good.

The various tumors can also be treated relatively well. In a few cases, however, the tumor is not treatable and the disease is fatal.
