Duration | Headaches in the child

Duration

The duration of headaches in children can vary greatly depending on the underlying cause. For example, there are forms of headache that are chronic and can be triggered by types of tension headaches. Acute migraine attacks or accompanying headaches due to an infection, on the other hand, can occur relatively quickly, but they often disappear within a day or two.

Prognosis

It is very difficult to formulate a clear prognosis for headaches, as it depends on the type of headache on the one hand, but also on the general living conditions and therapy. However, it can be said that most cases of headache in children with a primary cause usually disappear with a little rest after a few hours or a night. In the case of migraine, which often manifests itself in childhood, the symptoms disappear in about one third of cases with the onset of puberty. Only about 30% of adults who suffered from migraine in their childhood still have pronounced symptoms of myrrh in adulthood.
