Duration of pain on the inner side of the foot

The duration of pain on the inside of the foot varies and depends on the underlying disease. If, for example, sporting overloading of a tendon or ligaments is the cause of the pain, the pain may improve after just a few days of immobilization. Usually the pain disappears after a few weeks.

It should be noted that training should be started again slowly in order to prevent further overloading. In the case of inflammation of the tibialis posterior tendon and fractures, healing occurs after a few weeks if appropriate treatment is given. With heel spurs, however, it can take months to a year for the pain to disappear. It should also be noted that heel spurs cause renewed pain in half of the patients.
