What are the alternatives to Ilon® ointment?

As alternatives to Ilon® Ointment, other ointments from the spectrum of pull-in ointments are available. These are a larger group of ointments that have an anti-inflammatory, blood circulation-promoting and pain-relieving effect on minor superficial inflammations. In addition to the Ilon® ointment, there is also the pulling ointment effect®.

These are available in various concentrations and can already be used for children. Other alternatives available without a prescription are the Black Ointment (in 20% or 50%), the Ichtholan® Ointment (in 10, 20 or 50%) or the Thiobitum Ointment. These are all pulling or drawing ointments, which are based on shale oil and contain the active ingredient ammonium bituminosulfonate.

An alternative, which does not come from the spectrum of pulling ointments, would be Betaisodona, for example. This is based on iodine and has a purely disinfecting effect. It should be used when a pimple or pustule has opened and needs to be cleaned. Then Betaisodona can be used on a compress to disinfect the wound.
