Duration | Synovitis of the wrist

Duration

Synovitis of the hand or wrist can last for very different lengths of time. Acute synovitis often subsides completely after a few weeks. Chronic synovitis can last from several months to years.

Often the only chance of recovery is surgery. But even this does not necessarily prevent the recurrence of the symptoms. Thus, the clinical picture can become noticeable again and again over several years.
