As therapy, it is recommended to fight the cause, in this case a vitamin B12 supply. It is present in many animal foods, especially meat and cheese, which is why vegan people often have problems with this disease. Since it cannot be administered in tablet form, a balanced diet is extremely important

Burning of the tongue caused by the thyroid gland

An underactive thyroid can also cause a burning of the tongue. With an underactive thyroid, also called hypothyroidism, the hormone production does not function properly and too little hormone is produced. Initially, only mild symptoms appear, which only gradually worsen.

Therefore, this disease is usually detected late. The effect of the hormones is manifold. For example, the heart, the release of insulin and the central nervous system are controlled by them.
