Duration until healing | Stretch marks on the bottom

Duration until healing

Complete healing of the strips is not possible. The time until the stretch marks fade is strongly dependent on the extent and individual connective tissue structure. Stretch marks caused by rapid weight gain usually fade quickly when the additional weight is reduced again.

This is particularly important for stretch marks on the bottom, thighs and stomach. Another factor that influences the fading of stretch marks is the sunlight. Tanning of the surrounding skin helps to reduce the appearance of red stretch marks and is also said to promote fading. However, sun exposure to stretch marks should be used with caution, as fresh stretch marks are particularly sensitive to UV radiation.

Stretch marks in men

Some men also have stretch marks, as with women, weight gain, strong muscle growth and puberty are possible reasons for the development of stretch marks. Depending on the etiology, stretch marks are usually found on different parts of the body. Predisposed areas for severe weight gain are usually the abdomen, bottom and thighs.

Stretch marks, which develop as part of a strong muscle build-up, usually run in the shoulder and chest muscle area. Also in puberty, among other things due to rapid growth in size, stretch marks often appear on the shoulder girdle or in the hip area. The treatment measures are the same for men and women.

Stretch marks up to the thigh

Especially women complain about stretch marks. Many of them usually complain about stretch marks on the bottom and the inside of the thighs. However, some of them also show an overlapping pattern of stretch marks from the bottom to the thighs.

A more extensive appearance is often associated with a general weakness of the connective tissue, but this cannot be influenced. Only preventive measures can be taken to limit the possible expansion of the affected body region. In the case of congenital weakness of the connective tissue, however, even careful care cannot offer any guarantee.
