Effect and active ingredient
The active ingredient in Tannolact fat cream is phenol-methanal-urea polycondensate. It is a mixture of several relevant active ingredients that can be used in the skin area. Due to the combination the cream has anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effects.
According to the manufacturer, there is an additional analgesic effect. The anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect is due to the formation of a kind of protective film in the area of the epidermis. This inhibits further damage to the skin by irritating substances and pathogens. Due to an additional drying, contracting and slightly haemostatic effect, Tannolact Fatty Cream can also be used for open and weeping wounds. It inhibits the further weeping of the wound and leads to a healing of the affected skin area.
Side effect
Side effects during treatment with Tannolact fat cream are rare. This is because the active ingredients are only applied externally and therefore do not enter the body’s bloodstream. For this reason, side effects can only occur in the skin area.
In rare cases, allergic reactions of the skin may occur. The body reacts to different ingredients of the cream. As a result, redness, rashes and itching can occur.
In addition, further skin irritations are possible. Especially an application near the eyes is dangerous.Contact with the eyes causes a severe irritation and inflammatory reaction in the eye area. Strong flushing of the eyes for at least 10 minutes and consultation of an ophthalmologist is urgently required in this case. If any side effects occur, the cream should first be discontinued for safety reasons and a doctor should be consulted.
Application
Tannolact fat cream may only be applied externally in the skin area. When applying on the face, care should be taken to ensure that the cream does not reach the area around the eyes, as this can cause considerable irritation. The fat cream is applied three times a day to the diseased skin area.
The effect of the cream can be improved by gently massaging it in. Treatment with Tannolact Fat Cream should be continued until the symptoms subside. As a rule, regular application over a period of four weeks is sufficient.
