The following are the most important diseases or complications that may be contributed to by keratoconjunctivitis epidemica:
Eyes and ocular appendages (H00-H59).
- Bacterial superinfection
- Keratitis (corneal inflammation)
- Keratoconjunctivitis superficialis punctata with epithelial defects.
- Corneal infiltrates (subepithelial)
- Visual acuity reduction (reduction in visual acuity) – nummuli (small coin-shaped infiltrates in the superficial corneal stroma) may persist (thereby limiting visual acuity in the primarily affected eye)
