Epilating for men

The term “epilation” is also used for men to describe a procedure that serves to remove body hair. In contrast to shaving, men’s epilation involves pulling every single hair out of the skin along with the hair root. This means that not only the visible part of the hair is removed.

There are various methods available for hair removal. In addition, a distinction is made between permanent (permanent) and temporary procedures. With permanent epilation in men, the hair root is completely destroyed and for this reason cannot grow back.

In temporary epilation, on the other hand, the hair roots are merely pulled out of the skin. After a while, however, they can be reproduced. The hair begins to sprout again. How long it exactly takes until the removed hairs grow back depends on various individual factors of the user.

Temporary epilation for men

When temporarily epilating body hair in men, each hair is completely removed from the treated area of skin. All methods of epilation have been proven to slow down hair growth significantly. For this reason, men’s skin remains smooth longer than with a normal shave.

Furthermore, it can be proven that the hairs that grow back after epilation are much thinner and less noticeable. For this reason, epilation, which is actually very painful, becomes much less painful after several applications. There are several methods of temporary epilation available for men.

Waxes (hot wax or cold wax) are particularly suitable for removing body hairs from the skin. Furthermore, various sugar pastes (for example Halawa) are frequently used. All these products are particularly effective when used correctly.

Hair can be completely removed by cold and warm wax as well as by sugar pastes. Nevertheless, the use of electric epilators is becoming more and more common. Suitable devices are usually offered by every known shaver manufacturer.

An actual difference in the quality of electric epilators can hardly be proven. Electric methods are also becoming more and more common for epilating in men. Furthermore, unwanted body hairs can also be removed with the thread.

The so-called thread epilation is supposed to be much less painful and also give more orderly results. The common feature of all permanent epilation procedures for men is the fact that they can only be performed successfully on hairs that are in the growth phase. However, hairs are in a cycle consisting of three phases. For this reason, all methods of permanent epilation in men must be performed several times before a proper result can be expected. Similar to temporary hair removal, there are several methods of permanent epilation that achieve similar results.
