Exercises on the Balance-Pad

Exercise 1: The patient steps on the Balance Pad with both feet and tries to stand without holding on. If this is successful, one leg is lifted and stretched backwards. Then the leg is pulled forward again at a 90° angle.

Do not try to get into a hollow back and keep the abdominal tension constant. Repeat the exercises 3*10 times per side. Exercise 2: The patient steps with both feet on the Balance– Pad.

If he can stabilize well and is generally fit, he can do a 1 leg stance on the pad. While standing on the leg, he stretches his arms up and pulls them down beside the body, as in the lat pull. To make the exercise more difficult, the patient can use dumbbells or a theraband.
