Eye Care

The eye area is a special problem zone. Signs of age show up here first.

Eye care products (eye cosmetics) include mascara (mascara), eye shadow and eyelash curler.

For the eye area, there are furthermore special care products such as fat-free eye gels or particularly rich creams.

Bags and circles under the eyes

Eye bags and dark circles are often caused by fatigue and can occur at any age. The skin around the eyes contains very few sebaceous and sweat glands. Wrinkles and crow’s feet therefore often appear very early – especially if the skin is very dry.

The skin around the eyes is five to ten times thinner than any other part of the face. In addition, we put particular strain on our eye region: we laugh, we pinch our eyes shut, we rub them. So not only is the eye region more sensitive, we do everything we can to make it even more sensitive. As a result, it is the first part of the face to be marked by the signs of time. The eye region shows wrinkles and fine lines, but also bags under the eyes and dark circles. If you wake up one morning with dark circles under the eyes or bags under the eyes scare you, don’t worry, they can also go away quite quickly. When you sleep, the lymphatic circulation slows down and water accumulates on the lower eyelid. However, the circulation will quickly regain its normal daily rhythm and the dark circles will disappear. You support lymphatic circulation by applying your eye care with light tapping motions. To cover bags under the eyes, apply a nourishing concealer just below the bags. The bags under the eyes will then appear less noticeable. The nourishing concealer also evens out dark circles and gives the skin around the eyes a more even appearance. The visual smoothing of wrinkles makes the eye area appear younger. In some cases, cooling and decongestant eye gels and special eye masks help against bags under the eyes.Against dark circles, apply an eye cream under makeup. Dab on lightly and gently pat in with the tip of your ring finger from the inner corner of the eye outward.

Puffy eyes

One cause of puffy eyes is fluid retention in the lymphatic vessels. Another cause is the storage of excess tear fluid. Therefore, avoid salty foods and drink plenty of mineral water or tea to flush out the salt. Use a decongestant eye gel, which is very effective. It is also helpful to sleep with your head slightly elevated.

How to properly remove makeup from the eye area?

Close your eyes. Apply the eye makeup product to the eyelid with a cotton ball and leave it on for about 30 seconds. Then – without tugging or rubbing – gently wipe the cotton ball across the eyelid. From the root to the tip of the lashes.
